The Yao Panwang Festival, also known as Panwang Fulfilling Wish, is a grand festival for the Yao people to commemorate their ancestor Panwang. It has a history of more than 1700 years. As early as in the Jin Dynasty, Ganbao's "Sou Shen Ji", Liu Yuxi's "Man Zi Song" in the Tang Dynasty, and Zhou Qufei's "Ling Wai Dai Answer" in the Song Dynasty are all described. In May 2010, Yao Daopan Wang was rated as an autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage by the Autonomous Region People's Government and the Department of Culture.
